Is there a way to highlight more than one instrument in the ScoreManager?  Not often, but sometimes I have to move a section next to another section on the score, so I can see how the chords stack up, e.g.

Today, I have to move all the percussion below the strings (orchestral score), and would like to be able to do it in one fell swoop.  Alas...

Perhaps there's a feature I'm not aware of?

Also (I'll have to make this another post, probably), though I print and sell sheet music, my main focus is on creating orchestral soundscapes, and Finale is great for it!  But it takes a lot of research, trial and error, etc.  With all the technology Finale has invested in making world-class manuscript, there don't seem to be many videos, etc., on engineering sounds.

This would be beyond the volume/pan settings, and the settings available in the Aria Player.  It's already so good that I can't tell the difference between a string quartet on YouTube and my Finale file, sometimes, so it's not a crisis.

Again, maybe there are resources I haven't seen yet.

Thanks!

You are asking this in Feature Requests but it appears to me that you don't quite understand how ScoreManager works. You can re-order the instruments/staves at any time in your score. Finale already does what you want if not the way you want to do it—you may find the options listed in the manual to be better.

I am not seeing the Finale 26 manuals online and do not know your OS or I'd link to a page or two. I recommend opening your User Guide from within Finale, type ScoreManager in the search box and start exploring all of your options and choices. If you have questions from there, please ask them in the Problems... board which is where more users are likely to see them.

Thanks, Mike--I've learned from your posts on others' problems.  Big help!

I use ScoreManager all the time, one instrument at a time, but am lazy and wanted to move more, like all the horns or drums at once.
