I recently reinstalled Finale 2014 on Windows 10. Silly me - I forgot to go to Preferences and enable auto-saving every X minutes. Finale crashed and I lost two hours of work. I know the auto-saving process causes a very brief disruption, but I think it would be great if it were turned on by default. Or maybe it's my fault for not upgrading to Finale 25, which probably wouldn't have crashed, I guess...
Hi Henry:
Sorry to hear about your loss of work. Initially, we didn't have this one because ASV files take HD space and we all didn't have much of it. Currently the operation system, both Mac and Win, do much better at recovering from an unexpected quit. So, I'm curious if others agree with you.
I will give it some thought and talk to others in the office on the topic.
