Finale V25 and 2014.5, Win 10,  Intel I7 processor, Java 1.8

When I change the intrument list (change instrument for a staff, or change transposition) the first measure of the piece collapses showing a pile of undefinable notes. After that the measure cannot be changed anymore. No pasting, no simple entry, no fast entry, nothing.

Any ideas on this?
