In Lyrics, I used to be able to increase or decrease font size by using ctrl + shift + period or comma.  The shortcut doesn't work anymore.  The lyrics window text menu size option show the shortcuts for both but when you do it, it doesn nothing.  I can select the size or choose the increase size option but nothing happens when I try using the shortcut.

Anyone have suggestions on what the problem could be?

Try restarting your copy of Finale. You do not give your version of Finale nor your Operating System as requested in the Forum Instructions, but in my copy of Finale v25 on Windows 7 (64-bit) the shortcuts work as advertised on any highlighted lyric text.

Hey J Adrian

Thanks for replying.  I use Finale v25 on Windows 7 (64-bit).  I tried restarting as you suggest, opened a default document, then selected the lyrics tool, the lyrics window, type in a word, highlighted it and tried the shortcut and .............nothing.  I have to either select the increased size option or choose a specific size from the drop down list in order for the text to change.  Really annoying and time consuming again.

When you say Finale v25, you do mean the  v25.1 upgrade, right? (Not that it should make a difference.)

Sorry you are having the problem.

Hey J Adrian

Once again, thanks for answering.  You've helped me more than you know.  I had automatically been advised of the update from my Mac version of Finale v25.  I installed it and it works fine.

My windows version was the one I was having problems with.  I didn't have the updated version so I opened the program and clicked on check for updates, downloaded and installed it and VOILA.  The text increase/decrease shortcut works now.

Once again you came through for me and I'm greatful of the info.

Thanks
