I have read several comments on the problems of the installer not finding the samples folder. There is no ability to "point" the plugin or the standalone to where the samples are once it is installed either, which would kill two birds with one stone. Becasue if the installer doesn't see them then you could always just point to them. This has been going on for years and Garritan doesn't add this feature, which by the way every other sample library plugin I have ever used can do. And still today, years into this problem, there is still no way to point to the samples with the plugin or stand alone.

I had no problem installing the first time and then out of nowhere the plugin can't find the location of the samples. When I deleted everything customer support told me to and reinstalled it still didn't work. About the 3rd or 4th time it magically installed correctly, but not with a string of error messages telling me it wasn't working. This was ironically happening on my main iMac right when I was installing on my laptop, (both running Ventura) which I have still not been able to get to work. And with no solution from the tech. Garritan should be ashamed of not getting on top of the programming of the installer and/or plugin and fix this! Take a gander at all the crazy error messages I got while doing what turned out to be a "successful" install. I'm soured on Garritan products. But the CFX sampling is awesome!
