I have WIndows 10 and FInale 25.1 . I have been using Finale for many years and gone through several upgrades.

 

Installed 25.1 today and there seems to be no music font installed- how can I fix this?

I'm wondering if that is my problem as well. I tried opening a Finale file made in the previous version of Finale and it looked like this: 

Oddly enough, it would still play the arrangement for me.  

I tried creating a new file as well and it looked the same. I would love to know how to fix this.

First, try restarting your computer.

Next, have you checked the fonts assignment in the Document Options panel?

 

 

The problem is that you are not using a music font for your music. Either the assignment is wrong or Finale cannot find the fonts it needs. Check your font folder (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Fonts) to be sure the fonts are still installed. You may need to reinstall them from MM.
