Hi, I'm using a percussion staff to create a customized notation.

It's working exceptionally well so far.

I'm finding the stem lengths are not consistent though.

Especially, when the note head goes below of above the staff lines and into ledger lines.

In which cases, the stems always elongate to reach the middle line.

Any thoughts?
