I am currently using Windows 164bit 10 & 7
For my DAWs I am using Propellerhead Reason 7, 8, 9 & Presonus Studio one 3.3
As much as I like and use Presonus Studio one I create music faster and easier in Reason. Unfortunately Propellerhead reason is the North Korea of DAWS and does not support the widely used VST format. Using Rewire is a huge inconvenience almost useless, it slows down the musical process. I am going to be buying GPO5 VST for myself for Christmas.
With the Propellerhead Reason rack extension SDK version 2 available is it possible to create a version of GPO 5 and other Garritan Products for Reason. I am more into film scoring & GPO5 Would instantly be the best Orchestral Library for the Propellerhead Reason and get top billing from the company. Even if GPO5 was priced at $200.00 dollars a huge number of Reason users would probably buy this hands down. At $149.00 this would be an easy buy for most Reason users. The rack extension format is copy protected and is a no hassle install & setup within the DAW. I don't know much about coding or the limitations with Propellerhead's SDK Vr 2 but Garritan may be missing out on an untapped market. I have brought many of the current top String refills and Rack extensions for Reason, the only great string library in Reason is E-Instruments Sessions Strings. Unfortunately it is severely limited and seems to me that E-Instruments was testing the waters to see if it would sell. ProjectSams has a rack extension which is OK but doesn't sound as good as the GPO5 demos I heard. I own both the E-Instruments and ProjectSams rack extensions. I have quit pestering Propellerhead to allow VST plugins in their DAW. after 15 years it still hasn't happened. Presonus Studio one is an excellent product but nothing compares to the insane things you can do in Reason.
I bet if you Contact Propellerhead they would help with any technical issues in coding for their platform.
If you build it they will come. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
