When you start up Pro Tools, Logic, Digital Performer, or Vienna Ensemble Pro 7, while the program is starting up you're given ongoing info about which audio plug-ins are being scanned for validation. By contrast, Finale gives you no such information—the program icon just keeps bouncing in the dock. Having that info is extremely useful in helping to diagnose start-up issues. Two days ago I tried to upgrade my Waves Creative Access subscription to V15—after five minutes waiting for Finale to open, I gave up. Then I did the same on VEP 7—it took just as long, but I could see what the program was doing. That's when I realized that Finale must have been doing the same thing. (There are 247 plug-ins! I know, I know—Waves. But I'm committed to it.)
Can Finale give us the same info? See attached screenshot of DP, captured scanning a plug-in.
