I am posting this because MakeMusic is not replying to my

This sucks, but it's not surprising given the lack of updates and problems I've had with Finale freezing and suddenly quitting over the last couple of years. Personally, I think that there should be a larger discount given for Dorico's product. I didn't change over to it last year, because I was hoping that Finale would gain some steam and improve its product.

I should have known better, given what happened with SmartMusic. It was really sad when we lost all that repertoire and customability.

I'm sorry that as a company you couldn't be more honest with us, because a lot of us have been with you for many, many years, and we trusted your product, even though Finale was really difficult to use.

I'm crossing my fingers and toes that I'll be able to finish the final transcription I am doing as part of a larger project without pulling my hair completely out when I'm dealing with cues and other difficult elements that seem to cause huge problems on my Mac.

Finale will continue to run as long as its on a machine configured to run it. Maybe your IT dept can stand up something like a MacMini frozen with the latest compatible OS. This is what I will be doing because the software isn't the important thing, your music is. Virtually every instrument (sorry) used by Bach, and the methods of composition and publication, have been superseded since Bach's day.... but his music is still having its day.
