I upgraded to Finale 27 4 months ago. $99 upgrade. They had to know then that Finale was being discontinued but didn't inform me. Now I can crossgrade to Dorico for $150 and get Version 27 for free, They are basically screwing me for $100. If this is how they treat a 20 plus year customer perhaps their time has come and their passing inevitable., $100 bucks has little impact on my life so it is not so much a financial issue as a customer support issue. Given that they are going out of business this is perhaps a hollow complaint however it perhaps points out why they are going out of business, Respect your long term customer base.
