Hi,

We all know that to apply some modified parameters entered in the Page Format window, an extra step is needed.

Layout Tool -> Menu > Redefine Pages -> ...

This slows us down, especially if some changes are to be made several times.

Couldn't you consider to add an "Apply" (or "Redefine pages") button right inside the Page Format window ? This would be a time saver !

Excellent idea.

Thumbs up from me.

Finale has often been criticized for its cascades of windows, its multiple steps to achieve basic actions.

This suggestion would be an opportunity to easily eliminate a step in a frequent procedure.

The Page Layout>Page Size window also needs an Apply button.  For example, if one is doing small musical examples to export as PDFs, one must experiment with the page size.

And the Text> Baseline Shift and Tracking windows need an Apply button and a slider to reposition symbols in the text without numerical input.

I agree, John. Concentrating the functionalities in one window, limiting the number of actions and clicks is what users would like to see.

Great Ideas - both Michel and John...

I would also appreciate a quick and easy way to update the "Page Format for Parts" settings via the PAGE LAYOUT tool menu. It already exists for edits done to the score. Enable the same feature when editing a part...
