When one saves a library, one can select one or several types (Text Expressions, etc...).

It would be useful to be able to save/load just a specific category and its contents (especially a new one that we have created).

I face the following problem :

I create a new category, add some elements to it.

Then I delete all the other expressions (via Show All), and save the remaining ones (as text Expressions). I expect that this library will only contain my new category and its expressions.

But when I load it in an empty document (without libraries), it loads a bunch of other expressions. It looks as if, when I create the library, it puts some other expressions into it. Strange.

For that reason, it would be useful to be able to save and load just a specific category and its contents, nothing else.

For What It Is Worth:

I am unable to reproduce this problem.

Could you perhaps provide the exact steps?

Thank you, Peter.

Today, everything behaves as expected. The other day, I did the test several times, created several libraries, imported them in several documents without libraries, and got the described results : more expressions appeared loaded than the ones in my new library.

Finale can be unpredictable at times... I hope tomorrow doesn't bring the problem back...

Thanks.

Michel,

From your description I suspect that the culprit could be a corrupt Finale Preferences file.

But I am just guessing.
