I know of the p shortcut command to make a parenthesis around # or b before a note - as (#) or (b) before a note.
I would like to have a variant of this command to make a hard parenthesis - as [#] or [b] before a note.
This would be very good when editing old music, where # or b was forgotten in the original manuscript.
I use the latest Finale (25) i Mac OS 10.11.6, but also in High Sierra.

Anders,

You could set up your brackets as an expression, and assign a metatool to put them in. Not as convenient as a single keystroke, but you probably don’t need them as often.

Thanks - brackets as an expression worked very fine – it moved with the note, when the layout was changed! Good! I used size 16.
