Running CFX full version on Windows 10 Pro, 8 GB RAM, on an older PC (Core 2 Duo E8400).  Piano data (samples) are loaded on a SSD and operating system (C drive) was on a mechanical hard drive.  Had audio dropouts, could not use max pre-caching values.  Emptying a preset could take 1 to 2 minutes.  Once I cloned the hard drive to a second SSD, all problems went away.  Preset now empties in 1 second, no issues now, able to run with 3 GB RAM allocation and pre-caching value of 256Kb.  Notified Tech Support of this today..  Problem appears to be how Windows 10 handles memory management.

Once had a similar issue but only with a specific model/brand of SSD drive on an older AMD X6 DDR2 build.  Took me forever to track down the problem since the thing passed latency checks with flying colors.

Whatever windows drivers it used constantly sent some sort of system interrupt that gave timing sensitive streaming apps (including ARIA and other D2D sampler plugins) fits.  Moving samples and other streaming audio/video files to a different drive (make/model) fixed things.
