Hi all,

I have been editing a piece and found that all notes about halfway through the piece up to the end were one beat later than they should be.  That is, what was supposed to be a note at beat one ina measure was shown as beat two, and there was a rest in the beat one position.  What I would like to do is select from the note to the end of the piece (in all parts, unfortunately) and shift them one beat to the left.  Is there a way to do this?  I can only find the 'shift one note at a time' dialog, which is not what I want to do.

help?

oh, mac 10.10.4

  1. Choose the first incorrectly positioned note.
  2. Type SHIFT+END (which will select to the end of the music) if you have the END key on your computer.
Otherwise click the first note, scroll to the end, and SHIFT+CLICK the last note.
  3. Cut (CTRL/CMD+X) the selection.
  4. Click the mouse where the music should start.
  5. Paste (CTRL/CMD+V) the selection where you want it.

You can perform this on a copy of your file if you want to be extra safe.

Another option is to select the score as Adrian suggests, but then just drag the selection one beat to the left. Then, you will have to go to the end, and delete any remaining note
