Hello all--

I am composing music for a handbell choir.

When I create a piece with Handbells specified as the instrument for playback, the music plays back at the same pitch as notated.

This playback at the same pitch as written is a problem because the handbells are a transposing instrument like the piccolo, where the notes as written are supposed to indicate a pitch that is one octave higher than written. In the Handbell choir, therefore, Middle C as written on the page is played not on the C4 bell, but the C5 bell.

Of course, I know how to transpose the notes of a score, but I need to learn how to make the music playback one octave higher than written.

Can anyone help me figure out how to do this?
