Finale 25.5.0

 

For some reason in speedy entry putting cursor on an entered note and hitting a number key to change duration (i.e. putting crossbar on a quarter note and hitting 4 to change it to an eighth note) no longer works! Instead it places a rest before the highlighted note! I've been doing this for a decade and now it suddenly no longer works to change durations. Help!

I'm guessing that you're using Speedy without a midi keyboard. If so, uncheck "use midi device for input". That should fix it.
