I received an email to try Dorico Pro 2 and installed it today. Terrible installation process, BTW. But then I needed to get back to work on a project in Finale. When I start it up, I get this:

When I try to play anything, the screen just freezes up and is unresponsive. I have to think that the Dorico installation messed up Finale. Any ideas?

I am also getting the same message.  I did to the major Windows 10 update a few days ago.  Could that be the problem?

Martin,

If you use Dorico's default audio engine, be sure you have exited Dorico before starting Finale. Unless you direct Dorico's Audio Engine not to claim exclusive control of your sound card, you will not be able to hear other audio while Dorico is running.

Whew! That's all it took. Don't understand it, but getting out of Dorico let Finale work just fine! Thank you very much!
