Greetings everyone.  I apologize if this has been addressed before, but after searching this forum, as well as the Internet I have not been able to find a solution.

I'm running Finale 25 on MacOS 10.13.

While trying to import MIDI files from ClassicalArchives.com I am running into terrible display issues.  The playback is just fine; but it's the display of the extraneous notes especially when there are trills and other ornaments.  I am not having very much luck adjusting the many quantization/import settings under the MIDI/Audio menu to achieve a clean look.  What I am trying to import is a piano Mazurka by Chopin (see attached screen of what I am trying to clean up).

Has someone created a tutorial or guide that can help walk me through the steps needed to successfully import and cleanup an imported MIDI file?

I'm trying to imagine how one would manage to filter a trill through quantization.

I personally have not had an easy time moving files into Finale from MIDI. Tim Davies talks a little about it near the start of his "Extreme Australia Orchestration" article at http://debreved.com/

I'm much more a fan of importing XML, which some DAW's will export from their notation page.
