Hello community,

I'm really struggling with the percussion patches in GPO5, particularly the lack of volume, depth and punch, especially in tutti orchestral passages. It's befuddled me for sometime now. I have some very "typical" passages in one of my orchestral works that requires simple FFF hits on a bass drum (think opening of the Verdi Requiem Dies Irae), and the bass drum patch is barely perceptible, even thought I've mixed the percussion to the max velocity (127) and lowered the other instruments to around 90. What am I doing wrong? Every other patch, brass, winds, strings, etc, is excellent, but the percussion patches (timpani included) are totally devoid of character and presence.

Comments are appreciated. Thanks, friends.

I am also very concerned with the percussion, specifically the volumes at which they were recorded. I'm speaking mainly of drum set. The bass/kick drums are WAY too loud and the cymbals are barely audible. Even after I make the adjustments to max velocity (which we really shouldn't have to make at all) it's still unusable without making additional hidden staves for playback only with one instrument per stave. Please fix this. I am very happy with the rest of the GPO5 experience, but the drumset/percussion situation is making me crazy.
