When loading the plugin it takes along time to load the sounds in. Mac OS X High sierra. Logic x

Is this new behavior? Did it load faster in the past?

What is a long time, 30 seconds, 5 minutes...?

What is that piano library stored on? On your hard drive, dedicated sample drive, SSD?

Storing samples on a SSD drive which is not the same drive that Logic is installed on, will give you the fastest loading times.

I second Jeffrey's recommendation for storing samples.  I have my CFX samples loaded on a separate, dedicated SSD.  It takes 8 seconds to fully load the Contemporary Grand sample in Logic X.
