I have a new (less than a year old) iMac.  I recently upgraded the operating system from High Sierra to Mohave.

Since the upgrade note entry is unbelievably slow.  This is not a problem on my PC, running Windows 10.  It is VERY fast.

Can anyone help???

It’s a known issue with Finale 25. They say that the problem has been fixed in F26 (just released.)

Version 26 is out and you'll be happy to know that they've fixed the issue.  My iMac is now every bit as fast at inputting as my PC.

I don’t plan on updating. I have no faith v26 is going to work a year from now on Apple’s next OS update. Some folks just bought v25 a few months ago now doesn’t work. We were told they were going to fix this with update. Then then they told us it works fine so no update needed. It doesn’t. Maybe they are thinking this as a hidden subscription service? Just buy new upgrade once a year for $150. That’s only $12.50 a month.

If I am not mistaken, the cycle “new upgrade once a year” is “a thing of the past”.

Now it is a “two year cycle”, like $6.25 a month.

Not for the people that bought v25 in August 2018. Upgrade cycle was 2 months.

Yes correct. I did but others have bought since then. Let’s hope they fix this like they originally said before it esculates.
