Hi,

 

Assume, I have a score with 4 staves with 8 measures each in 4/4. For simplicity, assume all have filed with quarter notes. Assume I have selected the first quarter notes on the first measure on the 2nd staff ( by double clicking on it). Now, how is is possible to move the selection ( note) to the measure below or above? that is making the note below or above it in other staff go purple?

This is helpful for note editing and of course repiching mutiple staves!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's a single staff composition, no. You can move forward or back by using the Arrow keys to move one note at a time, or CMD-arrow (on a Mac) to move a measure at a time, horizontally.

 

In a system of multiple staves, you can move up or down to the adjacent measure with the CMD-arrow.
