PC Windows 7 Enterprise Finale 26

Similar to somebody else, my saxes playback sounding like a piano (with an overlay of trumpets.

your answer was what happens when you re assign  etc. I tried that and nothing changed and the instument list looks ok with the exception of guitar always sounding like a piano as I cannot get it to be assigned a " guitar" sound from the drop down menu.

Mr Anderson, the tempo is fine now and re- doing the data midi thing you suggested for that does not affect this piano problem....??? David Sholl

I noticed while getting Aria info for one of my students, that Aria shows a window on the left side of the screen showing a list of instruments. Is this new? If so, how can I access this window it would save a lot of time?

Hi!

 

Jack, the instrument menu panel on the left-side of the ARIA Player is a "newer" feature. If your ARIA Player does not have this, you should definitely update it. You can use this link to get the free update. Updating the ARIA Player 

 

David with your issue, go to the Score Manager (Window > Score Manager) and make sure that under the Instrument column for the Guitar staff this is set to Guitar. If this is set to Blank Staff it can cause some sound assignment confusion. If this still does not help, you should submit a ticket with us to troubleshoot the issue further.

Tried that David and although I can get drop down lists of ensembles, instruments etc. Nothing I do including changing from Garritan for Finale to Soft sync etc 

there is no " apply or OK " function with which to confirm the changes-I am stuck with either a " piano or a grand piano "respectively.

of a sudden, my saxes have gone from piano sound to sax sound Yaayy! How long will that last is in the lap of the gods I fear.

David, you should submit a case with us about this. I am sure that if we can take a look at the document that you are working with, we can find out what is going on fairly quickly.
