I am running Finale v 26 on Windows 10.
I export my parts individually as PDFs and send them to my musicians.
When I did this on v 25 - from a view of the specific part - using File/Export/PDF - I would get prompted to save the PDF as: "Title - PartName". Life was good.
Since upgrading to v26 - I get prompted to save the PDF as "Title" only - so I have to type in the part name. I want the old behavior back. I do this a lot and it takes a ton more time now to get PDFs.
Using the Print Dialog is worse - because you get prompted only with the "Title" AND you have to somehow remember what order Finale is printing the parts in.
I tried Graphic Exports - but it seems to have the same problem. There is a tantalizing File Names menu with a Radio Button for "Generate File names from:" followed by a directory - but I can't edit for PDFs - the only option is to prompt for file name.
Can someone please help me find the setting or confguration to get the PartName back in this PDF file name prompt. I am open at this poitn to an method of creation? (Stil not sure why print to PDF shouldn't be able to do this?)
For Extra Credit - I'd also like it to append the LastModifiedDate. So I can easily save the parts thus as "Title-PartName-DateModifided"
Thanks!
