So I just purchased JABB3 because I do a lot of big band arranging and writing and thought this could help me out. Downloaded it and ran the installation and it has been absolutely painful to get to work. I've restarted the pc multiple times, tried new and old files, flat-out deleted other vst's that finale had been auto-switching back to, with no success. Is there something I'm missing here?

Windows, Finale 2012.

You may need to upgrade your copy of the ARIA player to the latest version, I'm not sure which version of ARIA gets installed when you add JaBB3.

Version 1.872 is very stable on my Win 7 pro (x64) machine.

Also, you need to perform the small ritual ( ;-) ) described here:

https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/217663758-Setting-up-Garritan-libraries-with-Finale-and-PrintMusic

in order to tell Finale about how to assign articulations that JaBB supports.

My 2012 worked just fine after this, although I've just upgraded to v26. :-)

Definitely read the section in the Finale manual about Human Playback and check out each section of the JaBB manual that describes how to get various effects from different instruments using the various MIDI controllers.

Hope it helps,
