Hi,

Cubase base has arranger track. It allows you as a song Arranger to work in a non-linear fashion. Using an arranger track allows you to specify how and when specific song sections are played back, even in live performances. This way, you do not need to move, copy, and paste events in the Project window.

Is that possible to do that in Finale. I know Finale is not a software for song writer.

If I understand you correctly, you have Cubase, and are considering buying Finale, right?

Yes, that is possible in Finale, with the Repeat Tool.

You can add Text Repeats anywhere in the document, and you can hide them so that they do not print.

I suggest that you try the Finale demo.

If you have questions on, how to create the repeats, let us know.

With due respect to Peter and his expertise, I do not believe that what the OP has stated is possible. As Peter suggested, try the Finale demo out for yourself.

Hi Guys,

I have already purchased Final v26. It is OK. I just moved it to feature request!

Finale has an alternate to Paste called Insert (CTRL+i) that will insert any multi-measure-stack copied onto the clipboard into a score before the stack highlighted when one uses the Insert function. That is not quite so sophisticated as Cubase's Arranger Track, but it is the closest Finale comes to it.

This feature as I mentioned in my initial post, enables you to joggle and move around different sections ( after final composition) done see the best order and number of times a section is desirable to repeat. Anyhow, it is a good tool too add, even for non song writers.

Depending on how (and if) MakeMusic decides to implement the "new and improved" MIDI Tool, this might actually be possible for a future feature.
