Please bring the video window back, OR make "play via MIDI" available in ReWire mode, OR make the samples play in "Simple entry mode". Until at least one of these features is added, V25, and v26 are completely useless for film scoring!  What in heavens name made you take these away???

While you are at it, fix the Rewind to the beginning command, and the Studio View.  These well known bugs have been around since v25, and v2010 respectively!

Win 7 Pro 64bit. Finale 2010 (v2014.5 & V25 bought & installed, subsequently un-installed, and discarded. v2014.5  having been far less stable than v2010, and v 25 being completely useless for film scoring, lacking the essential and necessary features available in earlier versions. V26 demo installed, but since it didn't address any of the relevant issues, it was removed, and not purchased.

I, too, regret the removal of the Video Window. Rewire is for those who use a DAW, not everyone's case. And even then, I see the shortcomings of using Rewire.

MakeMusic, please never remove a useful feature, especially when it is "replaced" (!) by one which calls for additional external software !

Please give us the Video Window back. I know it is limited, but at least everything can be done within Finale !

Michel Herr, I use a DAW (Cubase) and the rewire feature in its current form is of no use at all.

I understood that.

In the meantime, I keep a copy of 2014.5 (which seems stable on the Mac), the last version which had the Video Window. But that won't be usable forever...

It seem to me that finale instead of wanting go forward and make things easier, they just want keep things complicated and get rid of their users. I 100% agree with GORAN, without the video window finale become useless to me. Bring that window back!!! taking it away was a poor poor poor decision.

I can agree that dropping the video capabilities may have been a big mistake, but overblown claims do not strengthen your case; they just sound silly.

No call for that kind of response, David. This is a public forum. If you don’t want any comments, don’t post. Just send it in to Finale.

We are all entitled to our own opinions, just as you are entitled to yours.

And, I don’t care a bit that that particular feature is gone. But I can understand that it’s important to you, and so I hope you get it back. As long as it doesn’t break anything that I need. See how this works?

Nothing in my response is worse than his response to my opinion.
