I don't use harp playback often, so maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I used the setup wizard to create a file for solo harp. I added single quarter notes in one measure, and a full chorded whole note in the next measure. (6 notes total)

I pressed play, the whole notes weren't rolled at all, they played simultaneously. This is what you want, correct?

When I added the arpeggio articulation (vertical wavy line) to the whole note, then it played back as a rolled chord.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm using Finale 25.

When I contacted Finale/Garritan with this question some time ago, they said that there was no setting to prevent harp chords from rolling (to my great disappointment).

Sorry to hear that Garritan does not support or provide a means for the "flat" harp chord.

After some experimentation, I came up with a rather interesting approach, which I show in the attached image.

Even with Garritan Harp KS, the playback of a 3-note chord is not rolled, but a 4-chord and greater is.

In my example, the piano chord automatically is rolled because (I presume) it is part of the "harp" layer. Oddly, when I use the Glissando Tool on the piano chord, the rolled effect is countered (it does not roll in playback). Odd.

Unfortunately, applying the Glissando Tool to a harp chord does not counter the rolled chord effect.

Anyone, something to think about.
