I just installed the trial v26 Finale and played a concert band file. I hear all parts
except snare and bass drum. I changed the Score Manager channel to 10, but that didn't help.
Suggestions, please?

Never having done much with percussion, I did not realize that there is a "Percussion MIDI Map" view. When that is open, it clearly shows where the sounds are coming from, not just the channel, but what the MIDI is actually pulling the sounds from. This may help, if not, maybe someone else that knows the percussion ins-and-outs better can give a solution.
Support says:
I was looking at your file "Percussion Sound Test", and it looks as though the Percussion MIDI Map chosen for this file is the General MIDI Percussion Map. This MIDI Map is not designed to work with VDLite instruments, which are the sounds you have chosen for all instruments except the Quad Toms.
You can change this MIDI Map selection under Window>ScoreManager>Instrument List. Ensure that the Percussion MIDI Map column is set up for display under Customize View. Ensure that the appropriate Percussion MIDI Maps are selected for playback from the drop down menus. For example, for your VDLite Snareline staff, you would want to select Perc. MIDI Map>Tapspace Drumline for Finale>VDLite Snarline.
You can read more about assigning percussion MIDI Maps for the VDLite sounds here:
