I'm running Finale 26 on the latest Mac Mini and system. I want to add a CC1 continuous data event at the beginning of a staff, but I can't find a way to do it. I can see ways to edit continuous data that is already in the file, presumably from a midi file import, but I want to manually add an event. Can anyone provide an answer? Thanks in advance.

Create a text expression to add a CC controller value. In the playback tab of this text expression choose controller under type, then a new dropdown menu will appear called bank select. Choose which controller you need from this menu, and then under set to value, enter the numeric value you want to give to this CC event.
I'm not sure if you would attach this expression to the note where you want this CC controller to begin, or slightly before the note. This screen shot shows the dialog box where you will enter the information.
