The players for the CFX Lite and the full CFX Concert Grand both install with VST, Audio Unit and AAX version of the plug-in. So you can use instrument with any host software that is compatible with these plug-in formats.

One other question if I may.  If I bought CFX Lite is there an upgrade route to the Full version?

There is an upgrade path to the full version. This is a discounted price that you can get in the store when you select Trade Up and then enter your serial number.
