Hello Everyone,

 

I purchased the CFX lite.  The sound in the midrange area is very thin and sounds distant.  My soundcard is an m-audio delta 2496 but it is through a home theatre system.  I'm wondering if it's because it has a restricted range?  Anyone had a similar situation and is able to offer any advice? In some respects it sounds excellent but just has a buzzing, thin sound too

Hi Pete,

 

Thanks for posting. I am not sure I understand what you mean by "restricted range." There is not any restrictions placed on the CFX, as far as frequency range is concerned. Have you tried another output device? If you are using a theater system with a sub woofer, it's possible that the crossover frequency is at a range that is not sending anything to the woofer which could certainly make the sound a bit thin.

Hello David,

 

Thank you for your reply and sorry for my tardiness. I think it was an issue with placement of the speakers and some settings on my amp.  It sounds wonderful now and a pleasure to play.  I am indeed using a theatre system; I just needed to play with a few buttons
