First off, let me say how much I love the sound of my Garritan CFX concert grand lite samples. I'm so impressed that I bought the personal orchestra software too. Anyway I've a few piano pieces that people listening have noticed a hiss. The hiss sounds like the pedal being pressed but it is too consistent for a pedal. I read in a forum that this was an issue with the open ambience recording technique and to get such a good quality sound it is a trade off which I get. I am just trying to figure out what to do as I need to consider my options for future recordings. So I thought I'd just sound it off this forum to see if anyone had any suggestions!

For those who may be familiar with this type of issue and that maybe able to help please hear for yourself at my spotify link.

Thanks in advance

I am experiencing the same problem. I have the full CFX concert grand package and I create music with Finale, using the Notation version of the CFX. It works very well with Finale's Human Playback feature, and I created what I thought was a very usable backing track for a song which I wrote. I went to a recording studio to record the vocals, and when the recording was being mastered, the studio called me in because they couldn't get rid of the hiss on the piano track. I am also looking for a solution.
