I'm writing for a custom instrument in an instance of Kontakt. I've assigned cc#7 to the master volume fader for the instrument.

I noticed the fader dancing around, and I'm struggling to control the level, sending volume cc data via a text expression. 

I noticed that Finale is writing volume midi data to the channel (midi events.png)

despite what I entered in the score (score.png),

turning off HP and sending a value to cc#7 (volume) via expression. 

This is odd, because I don't see any data in Finale's midi editor (midi tools window.png)

Is it something in my HP settings where Finale is writing data anyway on export? (HP settings.png)

Why is Finale writing this data? 

Is there a way to turn it off?
