Running Mid-2014 MacBook Pro 15", High Sierra OSX, Finale version 26 (latest iteration)

I've had this problem since Finale 2014.5. In the tab staff, slide symbols and slurs can skew away from the tab numbers taking up more vertical space than is necessary. These symbols should appear in the space *between* the tab staff lines. If they skew into the tab staff lines, it creates visual confusion as in measures 18 and 23 in the attached graphic.

Has anyone run into this issue? I'm using Myriad Pro Condensed as the tab font, but this behavior can occur with the Times font as well. Sometimes if I close the app and then launch the file, it displays normally. UNTIL I do more editing... very hard to tell what kind of edits will trigger this display problem. I suspect it's some type of font issue...
