As I compose and arrange, l like to be able to improvise with a midi controller, using my various virtual instrument libraries, including GPO5 and NotePerformer. I select the Speedy Entry tool, put my cursor on a measure in the staff of the instrument I want to hear, and play. Usually this works fine. If my score has only GPO5 instruments, there is NO latency. If I have only NotePerformer instruments, there is NO latency. However, if I change one of the GPO5 instruments to a NotePerformer instrument, I get latency when playing my midi controller on the GPO5 instrument staves, but I get NO latency when playing my midi controller on the changed NotePerformer staff. Any idea why this is happening and/or how to fix it. I am using Finale 26 on a MacOS Mojave 10.14.6.
