Additionally, there is something strange going on with the Aria Player. Because of what i described above, I completely uninstalled the player and all garritan sounds and then re-installed everything.  When I opened a file it said it could not play it because that session was made with 1.958 and I have 1.865 When I tried to update, the player said I had the latest version. The engine indeed said a new version was available (1.958) and linked to a webpage for installation. Here's the thing. Those files were removed because 'Aria is now a 64 bit player' Searched high and low to get the latest version. Could not find it (player + engine I guess). Could not play the files.  Luckily, I had the 1.958 update in my downloads folder and that seemed to have done the trick. But what is going on?

There are some issues that have been reported with the 1.958 engine update and we are looking into this. The ARIA Engine is not backwards compatible so if a file was saved using the 1.958 engine and you have a previous one (like 1.872) installed you will get this message. In Finale you will just need to go to MIDI/Audio > Reassign Playback Sounds and this will update the player and instrument settings to what is available on your machine. Go ahead and use the Submit a Request button to get in touch with us directly and we can make sure that you have everything working correctly.

Thanks. I submitted  request.  Btw, there IS no 1.958 engine update. Those files were removed from the update page.  I just happened to have had the file previously downloaded so that helped.

Little scary to have my files to just randomly stop playing my sounds cos 'the library is not activated'

Btw, if 958 is problematic can I get the 952 file until thus is sorted out?
