Although Michael Johnson (no longer with Finale) agreed years ago that the MIDI tool was needing updates, and nothing has been done, I will throw another suggestion into the shredder: The MIDI tool window should be modeless, so that the score can be moved below it, without having to close the window and reopen it.

Not to mention being able to draw in Velocity, CC and temp values instead of entering values in a dialog box!

Still waiting for Midi Tools improvements... Besides a fix for the bugs with the CC that would make it usable again. Some of the stuff broken in Finale 2014 still hasn't been fixed.

My Midi function cannot work.

After I finished my Musical Sheet, when I click 'Start Playback' but not sound come out.

Dolisa,

 

1. you are in the wrong forum: you want  https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/200656208-Finale-General-Discussion-Questions , which is for Questions and Problems.

2. You need to tell folks which version of Finale you are using and which computer Operating System (and version ) you are using.

3. You need to tell us what you have tried: did you start with a default file or use the Setup Template? Did you download the Garritan sounds (a separate step) when you installed Finale? Have you tried Reassigning Playback Sounds in the MIDI/Audio menu?

 

These sorts of things will be important to anyone who tried to deduce what your situation is, and you will likely get more replies on the Questions and Problem forum mentioned above than here on the Feature Request Forum.
