Hi

When I'm doing some guitar tablature I frequently see out of range note even if there are not out of range note for the guitar. How can I correct this?

Are you notating in Concert pitch or Transposed? And because guitar transposes at the octave, Finale may expect you to enter notes at the written pitch regardless.

1. Make sure the transposition is set correctly

 

2. In the View menu (IIRC) go to instrument ranges and set it to Expert, or whatever the highest level, is.

Also, take a look in

Preferences - Edit

 

Is the option

Respect Instrument Ranges when Copying or Changing Instruments

selected or de-selected?
