Mike, yes the update is compatible with macOS 10.13 High Sierra and I would not expect you to see any issues related to this OS.

I installed the update but I'm no longer hearing note pitches in entry mode, only during playback.

Sorry for my english.

F26.2

In the Document Options>Music Spacing>Grace Note Spacing and Keep Current options active.

When re-spacing music all grace notes return to default position!!

In F26.1 this option run correct.

Bruno Rossi,

It looks like you have found a bug.

I suggest that you report the bug to MakeMusic.

I currently have 26.1.0.484 on MacOS Mojave (was waiting for Finale upgrade to do MacOS upgrade) and have tried 3 times to install 26.2. It goes through the entire process without errors but the "about Finale" screen still shows the old version. The only anomaly I see is the installation progress bar never moves, just simply disappears after a few seconds. What goes?

HI Bruno, That is definitely a serious issue for sure. We are looking into this and are planning to release a hot fix update to address this quickly. I can post here when that is available.

Charles, what you are encountering is not an issue that we are seeing from other users. Can you open a ticket with us using the Submit a Request button above? We can then troubleshoot this with you directly and expedite resolving this for you.

When I installed the v 26.2 update a couple of days ago, I declined the access to my documents, but did allow the access to the microphone.  Now when I play one of my pieces of music and go to close out that file, the piece (always a hymn with a very clear title), is referred to as "untitled."  Does this mean that I am going to run into a problem with accessing my hymns in the future because the titles will no longer be recognized?  I am deeply concerned about this.  Also, what exactly would have been the difference if I had allowed access to my documents (hymns)?

Hi Everyone,

The 26.2.1 hot fix has been released, so you can go to the Check for Updates option in Finale and get the update. This addresses the grace note music spacing that Bruno points out, as well as the default tie placement issue.

Verna, there have been new accessibility and security changes that Apple has put into place. These do involve access to the Documents folder now in Catalina like you mentioned. I have not seen any issues as of yet that are directly related to this or the 26.2 update that are similar to what you are describing, so there may be something else going on here. You can use the Submit a Request option above to get in touch with us directly and we can definitely take a closer look into this with you.

How can I save my Finale files from version 2014 if I upgrade to version v26.2? I still want to keep them on my computer.

It doesn't matter. If you want to upgrade the files to F26, just use File > Open, and resave them. They both use the musx format.

And it's now Finale 26.3.

Safest option (since some things--articulation stacking in particular--have changed) open each file but save it in a new folder so you keep a copy of the older file just in case.
