Mac OS 15.10.2 (Catalina)

Finale 26.2.1.464

Is there a way to add blank space above the top staff in scroll view to make it look like the top staff is several inches down the virtual "page" on the screen?

Select the staff tool, click and hold the little box on the top staff and drag it down (or to wherever, for instance if you want more space on the left)

Cool. Thank you. I should have thought of that but I assumed that was only for page view.

I am returning to this question. What Michael M suggests above works, but only temporarily. I can pull the top staff handle down and the whole scrolling score moves down, giving me more blank area above the score. Exactly what I was looking for. BUT, if I close the file, or even if I just switch to page view and then back to scroll view, the staves have moved back to the top of the screen. Is there a way to move everything lower on the "page" in scroll view and save it in that position so it doesn't keep reverting to the top of the window?

Thanks

Make sure to check in Staff > Respace Staves > Current Part or Score >  Top Staff Position > Set to:(the space you want to use on top). Save the file, close it, open it. Should be the same.  For me, in Windows, it stays there (actually, even before saving it). No problem going back and forth from Page to Scroll View.

I should have been more patient. I think the issue was a temporary glitch in my Finale. It was crashing a couple of times when assigning an expression to multiple staves. After a couple of restarts, my positioning of the staves did stay as I had set it. I assume it had been working properly all this time since I posted four years ago, and I was surprised the positioning kept reverting today. Seems all set now.

Thanks for your quick reply, though, and suggestion of those settings.
