Hello,

I'd like to change the D#m key of the Alto Sax to E-flat m, but only from bar 49 (to bar X) in my document. Is it possible?

(Finale Ver 25.5, Win 7)

Greets,

Benny

OT:

Unless the tempo is very slow, the passage for clarinet 2 is next to impossible, even if the player has a left hand Eb/Ab key. Best to write it for clarinet in A, or swap with the flute 2 part.

You can do it with a custom staff style that changes the Staff Transposition from Eb Transposition to D# Transposition:

Apply the custom staff style to the region where you need D# Transposition.

NB:

Beware that ‘Staff Style’ does not mean ‘Staff Attributes’.

Staff Attributes are “global”.

A custom Staff Style can be applied “locally”.
