New to Finale. After inputting song I click on the 'right' 'play' arrow. A cursor starts moving from left to right but the music being played lags the position of the cursor by at least a measure.

Hi Brent,

Thanks for your post. Sometimes there can be some latency between playback and the playback cursor depending on the document setup and your computer's hardware and resources. There can be some ways to mitigate this though. Use the Submit a Request button about to reach out to us directly and we can take a closer look at your situation directly with you.

Hello, David:

This is just general commentary:  After installing NOTEPERFORMER3 - my cursor performance went haywire.  I use EW Symph Orch VSTs.  Never had a problem before.  In OPEN Ticket now.  Had to remove NP3 completely.  Some improvement resulted but the lags, skips and backtracks continue if use do NOT use the playback bar's Play button.  If I use the keyboard shortcut for playback, sometimes it lags or even freezes playback.  SAM B. is doing the best he can with this.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thank you.

I just moved from Finale 25 to 26 (same VST, PC, everything else) and my playback cursor has also slowed down to about 80% of actual tempo.  It really is a distraction.  I'm using Kontakt and Aria player.  Any new thoughts on this?
