I'm using Finale PrintMusic 2014 with Windows 10, and entering quartet music using Layers.  The ties are automatically oriented in the opposite direction from the stems, which is fine until the second layer is entered on the staff and then the ties for layers 1-2 and 3-4 loop across each other.  The only solution I've been able to find is to flip each individual tie, which is an enormous pain. 

I have a friend who uses the full version of Finale, and she is able to enter settings so all ties in a given layer go the direction she wants, but that process calls for menu options that don't exist in PrintMusic.  Has anyone using PrintMusic found a way to set the direction of all ties in a layer?
