I am imploding two clarinet parts by having the lower part combine
with the upper part. Problem is, the articulations from both parts
appear on the notes. How do I get rid of one of them?

You can delete them one by one, or you can go back before you imploded them and remove all the potentially duplicate articulations from one of the parts, or you can delete all the articulations that doubled from the imploded part (using a marquee) and then add them back.
Not much fun, but unless someone suggests a JW plug-in, that's the best I can come up with. (Because JW plug-ins interfered with another program function I was using, I had to stop using them.)
