How can I convert music in 4/8 to 4/4, and double all rhythmic figures accordingly? (Finale 25.5 Windows)

Hi Matthew,

I would takle a JW PlugIn for this:

JW Meter & Rhythm: Relative Meter Change -> Double Meter/Half Meter

Look for Jari Williamsson, Finale PlugIns (in Google).

Hi

- change to 4/4, don't "Rebar Music" .

- Utilities > Change > Note Durations > Change all note durations by: 200%

But keep an eye on empty measures, or use the Change to real whole rests plug-in before you alter the duration of notes.

 

You can always change the empty-measure rests back to implicit rests with another plug-in after you have finished.

 

And by all means, work on a copy of the file in case things go wrong.
