I've noticed the problem. Being from the prehistoric era of personal computer use, I developed the habit of backing up files and saving often and have turned off auto-save on all the programs I have that use it.

I never count on legacy problems to be fixed in Finale. I find work-arounds , and when any of those problems are solved, I jump for joy.

Yes I, like you, am a computer dinosaur. And I used to constantly hit Ctrl-S while working.

But a few times I got burned by Finale crashing, so I set Autosave to every 8 minutes.

I was just curious about this ancient dilemma. 

When I have a lot of printing to do, I admit that I temporarily turn off Autosave.
