Windows 10, Finale v26
Sometimes, when I have a glissando-ed note followed not by another note but a rest, I use a grace note after the initial-pitch note in order to indicate the terminal pitch intended (for both display and playback purposes). The problem is, when a grace note precedes a rest, the rest is played back as a "note" of random pitch instead of silence. It's irritating, although I can alleviate the problem by placing a "grace rest" between the terminal-pitch grace note and the normal rest (and using "o" in Speedy Edit to hide it). The thing is, previous versions of Finale didn't have this anomaly, and editing all my existing scores to account for it is tedious. Is this a bug in Finale v26, and is there any other way around it? If it's a bug, does Finale know and plan to fix it?
